Enjoy a driving tour through the Sonoran Desert to the red rock country of Sedona where you will make a coffee break/picture stop at about 9:00am. Take a stroll through stunning Sedona, before you continue your sightseeing tour up a beautiful 17 mile scenic drive in Oak Creek Canyon. Travel up into the San Francisco Mountains surrounding the Flagstaff area and continue along sections of historic Route 66 through Williams and arrive at the Grand Canyon around lunch time.Here, you will enjoy a helicopter flight which takes you over the deepest portion of the Grand Canyon, through Dragon Corridor and on to the North Rim for some breathtaking views. During your return flight, you will see rock temples and shrines while flying over the widest portion of the Colorado River.After your flight, your guide will then provide a driving tour along a scenic 23 mile rim drive. Stops will be made at a couple of view points to learn about the Canyon from your guide. This rim tour takes about 2 hours. Late afternoon the guide will escort the group from the Canyon by van to the Navajo Reservation where a stop will be made at the historic Cameron Trading Post, an authentic Navajo trading post. Here, you can learn about the Navajo people, have some time to shop, and get some views of the little Colorado River Gorge and the Painted Desert off in the distance.Conclude your tour with a journey across the Navajo Reservation, back through the mountains of Flagstaff and into the Verde River valley where a snack stop will be made early evening.
