Over 200 years later the land surrounding the lava flow is still barren. The summit rises 10,000 feet (3,000 meters) above sea level. The crater is 3,000 feet deep, 7.5 miles (12 km) long and 2.5 miles (4 km) wide - a total of 22 miles (35 km) in circumference. The Hana Rainforest will deliver everything you thought Hawaii would be - spectacular waterfalls and lush, green, dramatic valleys that extend down to beautiful white sand beaches and crystal blue water.
