Your day trip from Orlando starts with a visit to the popular and exciting Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral (approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from Orlando), where you can learn all you ever wanted to know about space travel. During a narrated NASA bus tour, you will find yourself standing inside the launch control room, looking at an actual Saturn V rocket, the largest rocket ever to fly!You can take pictures of the shuttle launch pads and with a little luck, you may even see a space shuttle parked there! After the bus tour, sit back and enjoy an IMAX movie, stroll through a real-size space shuttle, look at a moon rock, dress up like an astronaut or have "space" ice cream.At Kennedy Space Center, you will also have admission to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. You will have approximately 7 hours at Kennedy Space Center.Once you are all spaced out from Kennedy Space Center, continue to the Florida swamps for a 40 minute airboat ride to discover the beauty and diversity of nature. Look for exotic plants, flowers and wildlife such as the main inhabitants of the swamp.... the famous alligators of Florida.
