It is very picturesque as its white stone houses line cobbled streets around the Monastery of the Holy Cross, one of the oldest monasteries in Cyprus.Kakopetria lies on the northern flanks of the mountains and is full of old world charm and folklore - its name means "bad stone", and this particular story is revealed to you as you enjoy lunch and explore the oldest part of the village.Nearby is the beautiful church of Ayios Nicolaos tis Stegis (St. Nicolas of the Roof), one of the ten painted churches of the Troodos which you will also visit.Before commencing the return journey to Paphos via Vouni where you will enjoy a short stroll, you will visit the village of Lania.
