Visit the lookout point to view the Strait of Magellan, Tierra del Fuego and the town of Punta Arenas. Then head for the main sites of the town, including the Plaza Munoz Gamero, which is surrounded by mansions from the era of the great cattle dealers and the Monument to Magellan with the native Indians (Onas) around the foot.Visit the regional Silesian Museum which has a wonderful display on the history and habitat of the Yaganes, Onas and Alacalufes, the natives of the region. Visit the monument to the shepherd and the cemetery with its impressive mausoleums and gardens.The Museum of Magellan was inaugurated in 1983 and is situated in the Braun Menendez palace which has an important collection of objects which tell the history of the region.
